Kibera Slum – First Day

The slum was a world apart from the Nairobi I have seen so far. These are real slums with real problems - a maze of mud huts, lined by rubbish and sewage with an overpowering smell.

 

Nyumbani Orphanage – Day 3

I arrived at the orphanage to hear Sister Mary giving a speech to a group of donors where she mentioned the word 'stigmatised', saying that the children did suffer from this, and that it is our job to let them know that they can dream and grow up just as we can.
